Senior Network Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network systems to support enterprise-wide operations.
• Lead and coordinate complex networking projects from planning through successful implementation and completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of network infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage network performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Implement and maintain routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP in a mixed vendor environment.
• Configure and manage network infrastructure components, including compute, storage, load balancing (Citrix NetScaler), and cabling.
• Administer and monitor network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Configure and enforce network security policies including Access Control Lists (ACLs), firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise wireless security technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices to continually improve the enterprise network.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in network engineering with in-depth exposure to enterprise-level network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior role with leadership responsibilities for complex networking projects.
• Proficient in routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP in mixed-vendor environments.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure components: compute, storage, load balancing (Citrix NetScaler), and cabling.
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Hands-on experience with Access Control Lists, firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto), VPN technologies, and enterprise wireless solutions.
• Technical expertise with TCP/IP, VLANs, WANs, and Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
