Job description

 

CLIENT Hospitality Engineering is searching for a highly innovative, enthusiastic and results-driven Senior Architect who has built microservices and application systems at scale using GCP, AWS, or Azure.

The candidate should be from a development background and should have experience writing applications using languages such as Java, Scala, and GoLang in Docker containers integrated with third party components.

A strong background in network security, including familiarity with TLS and PKI, is a must. The candidate should be comfortable working with full stack engineers, product managers and product delivery teams.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirement gathering meetings and review designs with the product owner
• Maintain active relationships with Product Owner to understand business requirements
• Design and develop architectures with a focus on network security and privacy
• Prototype, develop, and troubleshoot software in cloud-native services
• Participate in collaborative technical discussions that focus on software user experience, design, architecture, and development
• Perform demonstrations for client stakeholders on project features and sub features
• Perform technical design reviews and peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability and the use of best practices
• Keep up to date with technology and apply new knowledge

 

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or proven work experience in related field
• Master's degree in a related field preferred
• 10 years of experience designing and developing software in an enterprise environment
• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Java
• Experience with Scala, or other Functional Programming
• Strong knowledge in creating and working with APIs
• Strong background in Network Security, including TLS, PKI
• Familiar with interfaces such as REST web services, OpenAPI, JSON payloads
• Experience with Cloud services, including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
• Experience developing using Git, GitHub, BitBucket, or other Git-based RCS
