QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in software quality engineering and test automation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, API testing, CI/CD, cloud environments, and mobile test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and components using Playwright.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Develop and execute API tests using Playwright API, Postman/Newman, REST, and GraphQL.

• Implement contract testing using tools such as Pact.

• Automate mobile application testing using Appium, Detox, Espresso, or XCTest.

• Provision and manage test environments across AWS and Azure.

• Support secure test automation through appropriate secrets management practices.

• Perform cross-browser and device testing using BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify defects, improve test coverage, and enhance overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in QA, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web UI, API, and component testing.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.

• Experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Test Plans) and/or GitHub Actions and pull request checks.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments.

• Experience with mobile test automation using at least one of: Appium, Detox, Espresso, or XCTest.

• Strong understanding of API testing, including REST and/or GraphQL.

• Experience with contract testing, preferably Pact.

• Familiarity with BrowserStack or Sauce Labs for cross-browser and device testing.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality engineering practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Experience building scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of test reporting, defect tracking, and quality metrics.
