Primary Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, and wireless networks.
• Administer and configure load balancing devices (e.g., GSS, ACE) for global and data center load sharing.
• Manage and maintain DNS, DHCP, and network services.
• Implement and configure security policies, including web application firewalls and checkpoint firewalls.
• Conduct research on network products, services, and protocols to support network development efforts.
• Perform network asset management, including inventory and lifecycle management.
• Manage and support SAN devices, fiber switches, and FC zoning for storage volumes.
• Oversee server performance monitoring, providing performance statistics and reporting.
• Administer network protocols/services such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, NAT, and VPNs.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet current and future network capacity needs.
• Implement network monitoring and configuration management tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and CiscoWorks.
• Provide after-hours support for emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Lead and mentor a team of network analysts and technicians, conducting performance reviews and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, access controls, and backups.
• Maintain network documentation and asset configuration records.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience in network protocols/services (T1, OSI, TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ATM, Frame-Relay, IP Sec, NAT, MPLS).
• Hands-on experience with load balancers (GSS, ACE) and firewall administration (Checkpoint).
• Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, and web content filtering policy management.
• Experience with network management tools like Visio, SolarWinds, PRTG, and CiscoWorks.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks, multi-platform environments, and security practices.
• Experience with Cisco routers, multilayer switches, ASA, load balancers, and IDS systems.
• Experience with SAN devices, fiber switches, and FC zoning.
• Ability to design and implement network solutions, conduct risk assessments, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Experience with network documentation and monitoring tools.
