We are seeking an experienced Technical Service Owner to lead the end-to-end engineering design, implementation, and delivery of enterprise services and API integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with .NET Core, REST APIs, AS400, API security, JSON/XML, insurance carrier integrations, and Scrum delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end engineering design and implementation of assigned services.
- Lead and coordinate the engineering/delivery team, including day-to-day execution and prioritization.
- Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering stakeholders.
- Serve as the technical point of contact between technology teams and engineering teams.
- Drive Scrum ceremonies and maintain strong delivery discipline.
- Design and develop REST APIs using .NET Core, including endpoints, versioning, and HTTP status codes.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and RBAC.
- Create and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger API documentation.
- Handle JSON and XML payloads, including schema mapping and data transformation.
- Work with AS400 REST services and IBM Integrated Web Services (IWS).
- Integrate with insurance carrier APIs for quote, bind, and rate processes.
- Apply API Gateway concepts such as routing, throttling, and rate limiting.
- Perform ETL and data transformation from DB2 for i to JSON.
- Support API testing, contract testing, performance testing, and load testing.
- Develop API mocking/stubbing solutions for AS400-based integrations.
Required Skills
- 6–10 years of relevant software/API engineering experience.
- Strong .NET Core experience.
- Strong REST API design and development experience.
- Experience with AS400/API integrations.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and RBAC.
- Experience with JSON, XML, and schema mapping.
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with insurance carrier API integrations such as quote, bind, and rate.
- Experience with DB2 for i and data transformation.
- Strong understanding of API Gateway concepts.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile delivery and leading technical teams.
- Experience with API testing, contract testing, performance/load testing, and mocking.
