Snowflake Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 and L2 support for Snowflake and associated services, including Oracle Database and Oracle GoldenGate Replication
• Monitor Snowflake production environments and resolve incidents (L2/L3)
• Troubleshoot tasks, queries, Snowpipe, and data ingestion failures
• Manage Snowflake users, roles, warehouses, databases, schemas, and access privileges
• Analyze and optimize query performance and warehouse credit usage
• Perform SQL performance tuning and database optimization
• Create and manage resource monitors and cost controls
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions
• Support production deployments, RFCs, and CTASKs
• Coordinate with application and ETL teams to resolve data and performance issues
• Prepare incident reports, RCA documentation, and operational runbooks

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data platform or database administration
• Strong proficiency in SQL and cloud-based technologies
• Advanced knowledge of Snowflake architecture and administration, including:
  • Roles, databases, schemas, and access control
  • Warehousing, processing, and performance management
• Expertise in Snowflake performance tuning and resource monitor configuration
• Proven ability to evaluate and tune SQL query performance
• Strong background in Oracle Database Administration, including performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate Replication
• Solid understanding of Snowflake warehousing, architecture, and processing
