We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Principal Consultant / Solution Architect with 10+ years of experience configuring, deploying, managing, and architecting SAP Transportation Management solutions, preferably within SAP S/4HANA environments.
Required Technical Skills
- 10+ years of relevant experience with SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM/TMS).
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.
- Extensive experience in TMS configuration, deployment, implementation, and support.
- Strong experience designing SAP TM/TMS technical architecture and solutions.
- Experience with enterprise architecture, solution design, and integration.
- Understanding of TMS business processes, workflows, reporting, and operational metrics.
- Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile methodology, and MS Project is preferred.
- SAP EWM knowledge is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall technical architecture and solution design for SAP S/4HANA TMS.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and support complex SAP Transportation Management solutions.
- Analyze business and user requirements and translate them into scalable TMS solutions.
- Define system scope, objectives, architecture, processes, and technical requirements.
- Manage TMS configuration, program routines, enhancements, testing, implementation, and production support.
- Lead software delivery activities, ensuring adherence to development standards, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Define, test, train, implement, and support TMS functional areas and related ERP applications.
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategies, standards, policies, and processes.
- Document major processes, architecture decisions, project milestones, and technical solutions.
- Lead project teams and provide technical guidance to developers and other team members.
- Manage project scope, schedule, risks, resources, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Support distribution centers and manufacturing plants and travel periodically as required.
- Ensure SAP TM solutions align with the organization's long-term IT strategy.
- Troubleshoot highly complex technical and functional issues and provide effective solutions.
- Work effectively within a matrix organization and coordinate across multiple geographic teams.
- Adapt to changing priorities, timelines, requirements, and business needs.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and guidance to project teams.
