A program manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects within a retail environment. This individual is responsible for leading a team of project managers, analysts, and other staff members to ensure that all aspects of the program meet the established objectives and goals.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for assigned programs, in alignment with the organization's overall goals and priorities.
• Managing a portfolio of projects within the retail sector, including but not limited to store openings, renovations, technology upgrades, and process improvements.
• Working closely with stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and external vendors, to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
• Leading cross-functional project teams to drive successful project outcomes, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Providing regular updates and reports on program performance to key stakeholders, identifying risks and issues, and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Implementing change management processes to ensure successful adoption of new initiatives and drive organizational efficiency.
• Collaborating with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure alignment with organizational standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field
• PMP certification is strongly preferred
• 12+ years of experience in project management
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion
• Strong change management skills and experience in driving organizational change initiatives
• Experience managing an EPMO or project management office is a plus
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
