JIRA Administrator

We are seeking an experienced JIRA Administrator to manage, configure, and extend Atlassian Jira and Jira Service Management (Data Center) environments. The role requires deep technical expertise in workflow automation, scripting, integrations, and enterprise-scale Jira administration.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer and support Jira Software and Jira Service Management (Data Center) environments
• Design, build, and maintain Jira workflows, automation rules, and service management configurations
• Manage Jira security architecture including groups, roles, permission schemes, and issue security schemes
• Develop and maintain complex automation using ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting
• Configure and support Insight/Assets and ProForma functionality within Jira Service Management
• Extend Jira functionality using REST APIs, Atlassian Plugin SDK, and custom scripting
• Develop UI-level customizations using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS where required
• Build and support integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including reporting platforms
• Automate administrative tasks such as user, group, role, and scheme management
• Maintain documentation, version control, and configuration promotion across environments
• Perform peer code reviews and ensure adherence to SDLC best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Jira solutions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience with strong hands-on Jira administration expertise
• 4+ years of experience with Atlassian Jira Software and Jira Service Management (Data Center)
• Strong experience building Jira automation rules and workflow automations
• Deep expertise in Jira security configuration (roles, groups, permissions, issue security schemes)
• Strong hands-on experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting
• Experience working with Jira REST APIs and system integrations
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for Jira UI customizations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Jira with reporting and analytics platforms
• Experience developing Jira Data Center extensions using Java SDK
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience with cybersecurity-related workflows
• Experience with .NET development or REST API integrations
