Infrastructure Architect

Roles and Responsibilities

• Own enterprise infrastructure architecture (on-prem, colo, hybrid)
• Act as Design Authority; lead ARB/TDA and define standards, HLDs/LLDs, roadmaps
• Design and govern data centres (compute, storage, virtualization, DR, migrations)
• Architect WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, routing, segmentation, and network security
• Define Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Establish monitoring, ITSM governance, capacity planning, and SLAs/SLOs
• Engage senior stakeholders; translate business needs into infrastructure strategy

Experience

• 12+ years in enterprise infrastructure; 4+ years as Architect/Principal
• Proven delivery of large on-prem data centre programs
• Experience in multi-site WAN/LAN design and ARB/Design Authority roles
• Enterprise/managed services background; regulated industry experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Data Centre: VMware (vSphere, NSX, vSAN), Hyper-V/KVM; NetApp, Pure, Dell EMC
• Networking: Cisco (CCIE-level), Juniper, Arista; BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN
• Security: Palo Alto, Fortinet, IAM/PAM (CyberArk), Zero Trust
• Storage/Backup: SAN/NAS, Veeam, Zerto, Commvault
• Monitoring/ITSM: SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Datadog; ServiceNow, ITIL v4

Certifications

• Required: TOGAF
• Preferred: CCIE/CCNP, VMware VCP/VCIX, ITIL v4
• Good to Have: CISSP/CISM, JNCIE/Arista ACE, AWS/Azure Architect
