We are seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership for enterprise cloud and infrastructure modernization. The role will define target-state architecture across hybrid/multi-cloud, networking, security, automation, platform engineering, and resilient infrastructure.
The architect will partner with engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders to establish cloud standards, reference architectures, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and automated governance practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define cloud and infrastructure architecture, standards, reference architectures, and modernization roadmaps.
- Architect hybrid/multi-cloud environments across compute, storage, networking, containers, Kubernetes, and shared platforms.
- Drive IaC, DevSecOps, automation, policy-as-code, and platform engineering practices.
- Design secure cloud networking, Zero Trust, IAM, microsegmentation, and infrastructure security controls.
- Establish high availability, disaster recovery, observability, scalability, and resilience patterns.
- Evaluate and architect infrastructure for AI/ML, Generative AI, and intelligent automation workloads.
- Ensure architecture aligns with PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead architecture reviews, technology evaluations, modernization initiatives, and technical design sessions.
- Mentor engineers and architects and influence technical decisions across matrixed teams.
- Communicate architecture strategy, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, with 13+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- 10+ years of cloud, infrastructure, platform, or systems architecture experience.
- Proven experience as a Principal/Lead Cloud or Infrastructure Architect in large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in hybrid/multi-cloud, networking, IaC, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, automation, and cloud security.
- Experience with Zero Trust, IAM, microsegmentation, PCI-DSS, and regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of highly available, scalable, resilient infrastructure architectures.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or advanced cloud architecture certification.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Terraform; Kubernetes; and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, GPU platforms, AIOps, or intelligent automation.
- Transportation, logistics, travel, or other regulated-industry experience.
- Experience developing enterprise architecture standards, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
