Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure the security and integrity of user data and systems.
- Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Assist in software deployment, updates, and patch management.
- Educate end-users on proper system usage and best practices.
- Document and track support requests and resolutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Specialist for 4 to 8 years.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office suites.
- Familiarity with hardware components and peripherals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common desktop and software issues.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
