We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in providing technical support for desktop systems, hardware, and software.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for desktop-related issues, both hardware and software.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, and related equipment.
• Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions.
• Respond to help desk tickets and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Train end-users on the proper use of desktop systems and software.
• Ensure data security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and advancements in desktop support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 5 to 10 years as a Desktop Support Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Familiarity with network protocols and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with Active Directory and user account management.
• Knowledge of remote support tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a customer-oriented mindset.
