We are currently seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 12 years of experience in providing technical support for desktop systems and a strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
- Assist in the planning, deployment, and support of new desktop systems and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Document support activities, solutions, and knowledge base articles.
Requirements:
- 5 to 12 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
- Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
