Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Desktop Support Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems within the organization. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the efficiency of our IT infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience in desktop support and administration.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10/11, MacOS).
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, group policies, and user account management.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and basic networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and peripheral issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement security policies and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the management of IT inventory and asset tracking.
  • Document and maintain knowledge base articles for common support issues.

Preferred Skills (not mandatory):

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of endpoint security solutions and antivirus programs.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
