We are currently seeking an experienced Desktop Support Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems within the organization. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of proven experience in desktop support and administration.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10/11, MacOS).
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, group policies, and user account management.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and basic networking concepts.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades and migrations.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and peripheral issues.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement security policies and ensure compliance.
- Assist in the management of IT inventory and asset tracking.
- Document and maintain knowledge base articles for common support issues.
Preferred Skills (not mandatory):
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of endpoint security solutions and antivirus programs.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
- Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
