COBOL Developer

We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mainframe development skills, experience in production support, and a solid background in the banking or financial services industry. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot complex issues, work independently, and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support COBOL applications in a production environment.

• Provide break/fix support, debugging, and production issue resolution.

• Collaborate with business analysts and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

• Ensure the reliability and performance of batch processing and online transaction systems.

• Participate in high-availability environments, adhering to best practices for mainframe operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of COBOL development experience in a production environment.

• Strong understanding of mainframe environments, including batch processing and online transactions.

• Experience in the banking or financial services industry (e.g., deposits, loans, payments, ACH, teller, or core systems).

• Proven experience in break/fix support, debugging, and troubleshooting production issues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
