Role and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications on the iSeries platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Write and optimize JCL for job scheduling and management.
• Develop and maintain RPG programs to support application functionality.
• Manage and manipulate data in DB2 databases and flat file structures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications and databases.
• Document technical specifications and maintain code documentation.

Required Experience/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 10+ years of experience in COBOL development.
• Proficient in COBOL85 and COBOL400 development.
• Strong experience with JCL and RPG programming.
• Knowledge of DB2 on the iSeries platform, including data management and retrieval.
• Familiarity with flat file structures and data processing.
• Nice to have: Basic skills in C programming.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
