Application Support Engineer

Seeking an Application Support Engineer with experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL and troubleshooting skills, the ability to analyze backend systems, and experience resolving application, data, and performance-related issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide application and production support for enterprise applications.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, data, and system issues.

• Analyze and optimize SQL queries to identify root causes and improve performance.

• Debug backend services, APIs, and application workflows.

• Diagnose issues related to data integrity, application defects, and unexpected system behavior.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to implement solutions and prevent recurring issues.

• Monitor application health and ensure timely resolution of incidents.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments.

• Strong hands-on SQL skills with experience writing and troubleshooting complex queries.

• Ability to investigate and resolve:

  • Data quality and integrity issues

  • Application defects

  • Query performance problems

  • System and application anomalies

• Experience reading, analyzing, and debugging backend code.

• Programming experience in one or more of the following:

  • C#/.NET (preferred)

  • Java

  • Python

• Experience working with APIs, web services, and backend integrations.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with incident management and root-cause analysis.

• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and support tools.

• Experience working in Agile development and support environments.
