Essential Job Functions

• Build and articulate a technology vision and strategy for solutions or business domains, ensuring alignment with company goals. Conduct holistic solution analysis, design, planning, and oversee the successful execution of strategies.
• Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) between IT and business units, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop solution designs that meet business capabilities.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to shape and align the product roadmap and oversee the delivery of new features.
• Present complex technical proposals effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clear understanding and buy-in.
• Conduct POCs as needed to evaluate and test new technologies, tools, and development approaches.
• Lead development teams through solution implementation, translating business requirements into clear technical direction and ensuring technical success.
• Work across multiple projects and collaborate with various teams to achieve cohesive solutions.
• Actively promote the re-use of existing components and frameworks through inner sourcing opportunities within the organization.
• Promote and support the company’s mission and values within the organization.

Position Requirements

• 7+ years of solution architecture experience, including creating high-level design documents, decomposing solutions into domains, API design, and developing epics and user stories for development teams.
• Demonstrated experience in designing REST-based microservices and their integration within larger systems.
• Deep understanding of software design principles and proven experience with major architecture patterns.
• Strong, pragmatic approach to leading architecture and development solutions with a successful history in agile delivery. Expertise in Agile/Lean development methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge and strong experience with AWS services, including architecture and deployment.
• Proficiency with containerization tools and technologies such as RedHat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency with Java and popular Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot), as well as experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB). Solid experience in procedural and object-oriented development.
• Good grasp of DevOps processes and experience with CI/CD tools to support continuous integration and deployment.
