Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze project requirements to define the application scope, features, and development roadmap.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable architecture for Android applications, including UI, data storage, and backend integration.
• Build high-performance Android applications using Android Studio, Android SDK, Java, and Kotlin while adhering to best coding practices.
• Implement and manage RESTful API integrations, third-party libraries, and Android Jetpack components.
• Conduct unit and UI testing, identify bugs, and ensure timely fixes for optimal application performance and reliability.
• Apply best practices for data security — including certificate pinning, keychain storage, and payload encryption/decryption.
• Work closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences and ensure project milestones are met.
• Stay updated with emerging Android trends, tools, and frameworks to continuously enhance application performance and user experience.

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of professional Android application development experience.
• Strong command of Java and Kotlin.
• Proficient in Android Studio, Android SDK, and Android Jetpack components.
• Deep understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and responsive layouts for various device types and screen sizes.
• Advanced experience integrating and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests and UI tests.
• Strong proficiency with Git.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence tools.
• Knowledge of data security practices (encryption, secure data storage, cert pinning).
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
