Agile Scrum Master

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Scrum Master to drive Agile delivery for cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for championing Scrum practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and enabling high-performing teams through effective collaboration between business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Serve as a servant leader, removing impediments and enabling the team to achieve sprint goals
• Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
• Partner closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined, prioritized, and groomed backlog
• Track and communicate Agile metrics (velocity, burndown/burnup charts, sprint health) to stakeholders
• Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; proactively manage and escalate as needed
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through actionable retrospective outcomes
• Collaborate with multiple teams in a scaled Agile environment to ensure alignment and delivery
• Support release planning and cross-team coordination
• Ensure adherence to governance, security, and compliance standards, particularly in regulated (BFSI) environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban; SAFe is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with distributed (onshore/offshore) teams
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities
• Experience in BFSI or regulated domains preferred

Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
• Experience in BFSI or enterprise-scale Agile environments preferred

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
• PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
