Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage YugabyteDB clusters.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure database security (user access control, encryption).
• Work with developers to design efficient database schemas.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Automate tasks using scripts and tools.
• Monitor database health through logging and alerting.
• Maintain documentation of processes and best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies.

Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with YugabyteDB or similar distributed SQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and database architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Cloud certifications or YugabyteDB-related certifications.
