Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in wiring design reviews to ensure design quality, manufacturability, and compliance with vehicle electrical architecture requirements.
  • Interface with mechanical design, packaging, systems engineering, software, EMC/EMI, and testing teams to ensure seamless integration of wiring systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to harness suppliers, addressing engineering queries and reviewing supplier design proposals to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Support pre-launch builds, prototype vehicle development, and production launch activities, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver all required engineering documentation, including wiring drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), harness specifications, and test reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Track and report project status, risks, and issues in regular program meetings, escalating concerns as needed to ensure program success.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive wiring design, electrical distribution systems, or related areas.
  • Proficiency with wiring design tools (e.g., Capital, CATIA Electrical, Zuken E3, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, connectors, EMC/EMI considerations, and harness manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate effectively across disciplines.

 

Preferred Exp
  • Experience working with OEM or Tier-1 suppliers in automotive electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and release processes.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) and change management tools.
