In this technical role, you will be responsible for the implementation of testing platforms for measuring the performance of wireless devices. Your duties will encompass test execution, automation, and troubleshooting of both conducted and over-the-air wireless configurations, along with thorough documentation of findings. Collaborating closely with the Product RF team, you will conduct test campaigns to analyze and characterize the throughput and latency performance of various wireless consumer products. This hands-on position will challenge you to design and implement innovative test procedures and setups to enhance testing efficacy and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the product managers, development engineers, and management to define & document product functionality and requirements.
- Validate the use cases in the lab.
- Debug issues were found during lab testing and vendor testing.
- Actively monitor the systems that are deployed in a production environment.
- Interface with customers on product-level issues, design details, and problem identification and resolution.
- Run automated test suites on a daily basis and generate reports.
- Lead the effort to take the initial builds of these products and put them together in a functioning system.
- Supply written reports of status for projects assigned to the team to keep management informed of problems and project status.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience working with RF/wireless equipment (i.e., signal generator, vector signal analyzer, spectrum analyzer, channel emulator, RF shielded box, and network analyzer).
- 10 years of experience working with electronics lab equipment (i.e., power meters, power supplies, analog/digital multimeters, digital oscilloscopes, and soldering and assembling parts).
- Hands-on experience with electronics and circuits (basic design, troubleshooting, and repair).
- Experience in running wireless throughput/latency testing.
- Hands-on experience working with microcontrollers.
- Experience in basic test automation using scripting languages such as Python.
