Windchill Solution Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using PTC Windchill. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to deliver scalable, integrated, and future-ready PLM solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define end-to-end solution architecture for PTC Windchill implementations.

• Lead the implementation and customization of Windchill modules including PDMLink, MPMLink, QMS, and related components.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Guide development teams through solution design, technical governance, and best practices.

• Design and implement enterprise PLM integrations with ERP, CAD, MES, and other enterprise applications.

• Ensure solution quality, scalability, security, and performance throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), solution evaluations, and large-scale PLM transformation initiatives.

• Provide technical leadership during architecture reviews, design discussions, and client workshops.

• Mentor technical teams and promote knowledge sharing across PLM practices.

• Stay current with emerging Windchill capabilities and recommend innovative solutions to improve business processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Windchill Solution Architect or PLM Architect.

• Strong expertise in PTC Windchill architecture, implementation, and customization.

• Hands-on experience with PDMLink, MPMLink, QMS, and other Windchill modules.

• Experience designing enterprise PLM integrations using APIs, web services, or middleware.

• Strong understanding of PLM processes including product data management, engineering change management, document management, and product structure management.

• Experience translating business requirements into technical solution architecture.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.

• Experience leading enterprise PLM implementation and modernization programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Windchill with ERP, CAD, MES, or other enterprise systems.

• Knowledge of Windchill customization, configuration, and upgrade strategies.

• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.

• Experience leading global or large-scale PLM transformation initiatives.
