Technical / Functional Skills

• Strong virtualization expertise using VMware ESX, Horizon, vCenter, vROPs, Cloud Volumes, vGPU
• Experience with Windows and RHEL operating systems
• VDI software installation and management
• Provisioning VDIs using Amazon WorkSpaces
• Linux networking fundamentals (netgroups, basic networking)
• Knowledge of NFS and Isilon storage
• Awareness of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create and manage VDI master images across domains and sub-domains
• Administer VMware VDI infrastructure, including ESX, Horizon, vCenter, DRS, HA, vMotion, and migrations
• Perform VDI rollouts following defined standards and best practices
• Manage VM software installations, upgrades, and patching
• Handle VMware upgrades and platform migrations
• Resolve incidents and service requests via ServiceNow and track tasks in Rally
• Apply patches, service packs, security configurations, and bug fixes
• Manage Group Policy enforcement on user machines
• Monitor systems and resolve job failures and data issues
• Manage storage and create/map NFS and Isilon exports
• Install client and project-specific tools on VDI environments
• Coordinate server repairs and hardware replacements with vendors
• Support Export Control–related jobs
