Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Translate business and user goals into clear product and user experience direction.
  • Develop and articulate design strategies that align with both business objectives and user needs.
  • Master the use of Figma, including components, variants, prototyping, and branching, to design and document design systems.
  • Apply strong interaction design principles, typography, layout, and responsive design to create beautiful and functional user interfaces.
  • Prototype and test your designs, using tools and methods to ensure the final product meets user needs.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure design integrity throughout implementation.
  • Facilitate design workshops and discussions, gathering input from diverse perspectives to iterate on and refine designs.
  • Apply a deep understanding of user-centered design methods, conducting user research and designing experiments to validate hypotheses.
  • Work with UX researchers to gather insights and feedback, ensuring the product evolves based on user needs.
  • Be well-versed in accessibility principles (WCAG 2.2 AA) and ensure designs meet accessibility standards, creating inclusive experiences for all users.

 

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, and visual design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work (shipping products and features).
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate product strategy, vision, and design/system thinking clearly.
  • Proficiency in interaction design, visual design, typography, layout, and responsive design principles.
  • Expertise in using Figma, including components, variants, prototyping, and branching. Experience with other design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong prototyping skills and experience with motion design (a bonus).
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile/scrum environment and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Experience working with UX researchers, applying various methods of research to inform design decisions.
  • Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards and best practices.
