Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end UX design process, delivering high-fidelity, interactive Figma mockups that are accessible and visually consistent
• Serve as a user advocate, defending design decisions and constructively challenging requirements that negatively impact user experience
• Lead design activities during PI Planning and participate in daily stand-ups to align design sequencing with development cycles
• Build, maintain, and evolve design systems, including reusable components, patterns, and design tokens
• Conduct field research and usability testing, including on-site and on-train contextual inquiries, to capture real-world operational needs
• Create detailed UX specifications and documentation in Jira and Confluence to support accurate engineering handoffs
• Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful design implementation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, high-density applications (enterprise or internal tools preferred)
• Expert proficiency in Figma, FigJam, Jira, and Confluence
• Proven experience working in Agile / SAFe environments, managing design cadence alongside development teams
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence Product Owners and leadership
