We are seeking a USB Validation Engineer to support USB protocol validation, device and accessory firmware quality, regression testing, and automation. The role involves hands-on testing, issue identification, and validation of fixes across USB devices and accessories.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform USB protocol validation and compliance testing across devices and accessories.
- Conduct thorough manual test sweeps to validate device functionality and firmware quality.
- Execute regression testing to identify issues and ensure existing functionality remains stable.
- Validate fixes and verify that reported issues are resolved.
- Run automated test suites when applicable and analyze test results.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps and test results.
- Collaborate with development and firmware teams to investigate and resolve USB-related issues.
- Maintain test documentation and contribute to improving validation processes.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in USB validation and testing.
- Strong understanding of USB devices, interfaces, and testing methodologies.
- Experience with manual testing, regression testing, and defect validation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze test results and clearly document issues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with USB protocol compliance testing.
- Experience with test automation and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with firmware validation and hardware/software integration testing.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and testing tools.
