Responsibilities

• Validate USB protocol compliance and firmware performance across a variety of USB devices and accessories.
• Perform manual test sweeps to verify device behavior and identify potential issues.
• Execute regression testing cycles to ensure previously resolved issues remain fixed.
• Validate software and firmware fixes through structured test plans.
• Run automation test suites when applicable to support validation coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve issues.
• Document test results and support test reporting and tracking of bugs.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with USB validation (must-have).
• Solid understanding of USB protocol specifications and testing methodologies.
• Ability to perform detailed manual testing and regression verification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with protocol compliance testing tools (e.g., USB protocol analyzers, Ellisys, Lecroy).
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and scripting for validation workflows.
• Familiarity with firmware debugging and device-level communication protocols.
• Knowledge of test documentation tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
