The Unified Communication (UC) AV Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting AV and collaboration technologies in shared spaces, conference rooms, and offices. This role focuses on providing white glove service, troubleshooting AV equipment, and ensuring a seamless end-user meeting experience across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and other collaboration platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide white glove service for scheduled meetings in conference and training rooms.
- Troubleshoot audio/video systems including Polycom, Logitech, Cisco endpoints, Mersive Solstice, Crestron touch panels, projectors, screens, and cables.
- Support and document third-party conferencing solutions (Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Zoom, Webex).
- Perform regular room checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment and update signage and end-user instructions.
- Create and maintain end-user documentation and Service Desk guides.
- Identify defective or failed equipment and escalate to advanced AV engineers.
- Deliver excellent customer service, providing guidance calmly and professionally in all situations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of A/V systems integration with network components (wired and wireless).
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams Meetings configuration, settings, and troubleshooting.
- Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to policies, standards, and procedures.
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
Experience & Qualifications
- 1–4 years of AV experience providing white glove service in conference room environments.
- Hands-on experience with collaboration platforms and conferencing solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic AV and conferencing issues efficiently.
