Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Unibasic/Unidata application support team, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Unidata-based applications, focusing on troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Monitor system health, identify recurring issues, and implement proactive solutions for system stability.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and end-users to analyze and resolve technical problems.
• Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance for Unibasic/Unidata systems.
• Develop and maintain support documentation, technical guides, and knowledge base articles.
• Lead system upgrades, patches, and performance/security enhancements.
• Train and mentor junior team members to enhance technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for support and issue resolution.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Unibasic programming and Unidata (Rocket U2) MultiValue databases.
• Strong experience in Pick MultiValue environments, including file structures, subroutines, and dictionaries.
• Proven ability to lead technical support teams and manage escalations.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with performance tuning experience.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, including scripting and job scheduling.
• Experience with web service integrations (REST/SOAP) within Unidata.
• Understanding of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems using Unidata/Unibasic.
• Exposure to modern scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, shell scripting).
• Familiarity with cloud-based MultiValue database environments.
• Experience in database migrations, upgrades, and performance optimization.
