Job Description

The Thermal Test Engineer III will support the design validation and testing of thermal systems by developing test plans, preparing instrumentation, executing tests, analyzing data, and communicating results to engineering teams. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineers to support product development and progressively take ownership of test projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop, set up, execute, and document thermal validation tests.
  • Install and use instrumentation such as thermocouples, pressure transducers, and flow meters.
  • Analyze test data, identify issues, and provide technical recommendations.
  • Prepare test reports and communicate findings to engineering teams.
  • Support hands-on testing activities in lab, equipment bay, and outdoor environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design validation activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of engineering/test engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field with coursework in thermodynamics/fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with thermal systems testing and engineering instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamic principles and test methodologies.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cooling, thermal, or validation testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to take initiative.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on work, including equipment setup and test support.
