Design, build, and operate cloud-native service mesh platforms using Kubernetes, Istio, and Envoy to support secure, scalable, and highly available distributed systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Tetrate Service Bridge (TSB) management and data plane components
- Implement and operate Istio/Envoy-based service mesh solutions in enterprise environments
- Build reliable, secure distributed systems focusing on networking, consistency, and availability
- Integrate service mesh platforms across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-prem environments
- Apply DevOps/SRE practices including CI/CD, automation, and scripting
- Troubleshoot complex customer issues and contribute to Istio/Envoy open-source communities
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Istio, Envoy, Docker, and service mesh concepts
- Proficiency in Golang; experience with C++ and gRPC is a plus
- Solid understanding of microservices, TCP/IP, mTLS, and observability (metrics, logs, tracing)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
