The Teradata Development Lead Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata. The role involves leading ETL development, data modeling, SQL performance tuning, and production support while ensuring data quality, scalability, and reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Design and implement scalable Teradata data warehouse solutions
- Develop and maintain 3NF and dimensional data models
- Design, develop, and optimize Teradata ETL jobs and data pipelines
- Strong SQL proficiency with query performance tuning and data validation
- Experience with Teradata tools and utilities
- Manage database migrations (Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle), including code and data migration
- Troubleshoot data integration, ETL, and performance issues
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
- Experience with AutoSys job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Roles & Responsibilities
- Optimize database jobs and SQL performance in collaboration with DBAs
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues such as load delays and database outages
- Monitor job logs and performance metrics to proactively address issues
- Implement production fixes following change management and code promotion processes
- Resolve data issues to ensure reliable data delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain documentation for troubleshooting, best practices, and system configurations
