We are seeking a skilled and proactive Teradata & Hadoop Support Engineer to provide technical support for Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations in development and UAT environments. This is a client-facing role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, in-depth analysis capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with application teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Teradata and Hadoop platforms in lower environments (DEV and UAT).
• Act as the primary point of contact for client-facing support and troubleshooting.
• Deliver in-depth analysis and timely resolutions for application and system issues.
• Support application onboarding and collaborate with teams on critical project deadlines.
• Participate in on-call rotation to handle production and infrastructure-related incidents.
• Support BAU and DevOps initiatives, including password rotation for DDM system IDs and mainframe engagement.
• Maintain and support mainframe systems, Hadoop clusters, and Teradata environments.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and routine maintenance tasks.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Strong experience with Teradata RDBMS, UNIX/Linux environments.
• Proficient in Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Impala, and HBase.
• Understanding of ETL workflows and development in a financial institution setting.
• Familiarity with mainframe systems and associated support tasks.
• Solid problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in an on-call support model and supporting critical systems.
• Ability to manage user/system credentials and support password rotation processes.
• Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python) for automation and monitoring.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
• Prior experience in a financial services or banking environment.
