Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support process validation for new CNC machines, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead CNC program prove-out activities and resolve issues during initial production runs.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using UG NX.
  • Verify CNC programs using Vericut to ensure machining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Evaluate probing cycles and machining strategies to achieve dimensional compliance verified through CMM inspections.
  • Perform minor modifications to existing CNC programs based on engineering requirements.
  • Update CNC programs and maintain documentation based on First Article Inspection (FAI) results and engineering change requests.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement technical solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cycle time.
  • Provide shop floor support during production ramp-up by working closely with operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to improve process capability (Cp/Cpk).
  • Optimize machining processes and cutting parameters to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.
  • Strong experience supporting new machine implementation and production ramp-up.
  • Hands-on expertise in CNC program development and modification using UG NX.
  • Experience verifying CNC programs using Vericut.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, boring bars, inserts, and machining processes.
  • Solid understanding of engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience with dimensional validation using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize cycle times.
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
Required Skills
