Technology Lead | BPMI – IBM | WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ITX Developer / Technology Lead with strong hands-on experience in IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX) / WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) development and production support.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining ITX maps and integration solutions supporting EDI transactions and enterprise integrations with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), B2B Integrator (B2BI), IBM ACE/IIB, and IBM MQ.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain IBM ITX/WTX maps for data transformation, validation, and integration.

• Develop inbound and outbound EDI processing solutions using IBM ITX.

• Integrate ITX solutions with Sterling File Gateway (SFG), B2B Integrator (B2BI), IBM ACE/IIB, and IBM MQ.

• Develop transformations across X12, EDIFACT, XML, XSD, JSON, CSV, Fixed Length, and Pipe-Delimited formats.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective ITX mapping solutions.

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, validation, and troubleshooting of ITX maps.

• Provide production support, troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

• Support deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.

• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, developers, QA teams, and external trading partners.

• Participate in requirement gathering, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Required / Preferred Technical Skills

IBM ITX / Integration

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX) / WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX).

• Experience developing and maintaining complex ITX maps.

• Experience with SFG (Sterling File Gateway) and B2B Integrator (B2BI).

• Experience with IBM MQ.

• Experience with IBM ACE / IIB integration.

• Strong understanding of data transformation and integration patterns.

Database & Data Processing

• Good proficiency in SQL.

• Experience with data validation, data processing, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to analyze source and target data during integration issue resolution.

Production Support

• Troubleshoot ITX and integration-related production issues.

• Perform root cause analysis and identify appropriate corrective actions.

• Monitor and validate data flows across integrated systems.

• Support deployment, release, and post-deployment validation activities.

• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve critical integration issues.

Required Experience

• 8–10+ years of overall IT experience preferred.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM ITX/WTX development and support.

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on IBM ITX experience.

• Experience working with EDI and enterprise integration environments.
