We are looking for an experienced Tandem Developer to join our team onsite in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Tandem NSK platform development and strong programming skills in TAL, C, TACL, Cobol, and NSQL. This role requires hands-on experience with EFT switches and transaction processing in the payments domain.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications on the Tandem NSK platform using TAL, C, TACL, Cobol, sCobol, and NSQL.
• Design and support online transaction processing systems through Visa, Mastercard, and other payment interchanges.
• Work with EFT switch environments such as EPOC, Base24, or similar on Tandem Pathway.
• Configure and utilize Fasttest simulators for testing Visa, Mastercard, and ISO message specifications.
• Independently analyze requirements, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
• Provide production support, testing, and implementation expertise for Tandem applications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation and enhancements of payment processing systems.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Tandem NSK platform development.
• Strong programming skills in TAL, C, TACL, Cobol, sCobol, and NSQL.
• Hands-on development experience with EFT switches such as EPOC or Base24 in a Tandem Pathway environment.
• Working knowledge of Fasttest simulator setup and Visa/Mastercard/ISO message specifications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal support.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in production support, testing, or implementation.
• Preferred domain experience: Cards, Banking, and Finance.
