As a Systems Control Engineer, you will lead and contribute to the design, development, and testing of complex control systems for advanced technologies. You will work on innovative projects, develop control algorithms, and validate them using SIL & HIL simulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on software development experience, and expertise in control systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop new control systems and software
- Design, evaluate, and deploy control algorithms and optimization tools
- Perform testing and validation of algorithms for new products using SIL & HIL simulations
- Evaluate new products, systems, and processes
- Communicate technical results with customers and team members
- Engage in software and control algorithm development
- Simulate and validate designs on machines and systems
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Stateflow, Simscape Power Systems
- Knowledge of linear control theory, PID, and advanced nonlinear control methods (e.g., sliding mode, adaptive, neural networks)
- Embedded software experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and Linux
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., GIT, Clearcase)
- Experience with control systems for hybrid energy plants and generators
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of engine control systems and hybrid energy systems
- Experience with debugging tools (Lauterbach, CANape, CANalyzer)
- Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, C, C++
Education & Experience
- MS in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (PhD preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience
