Roles and Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Hitachi, Infinidat, and NetApp storage systems in a 24/7 enterprise environment.
• Deploy new storage servers and manage storage capacity addition (CapAdd) and array configurations.
• Provide hands-on experience with host-based data migration, including mirroring and troubleshooting.
• Build and deliver Oracle Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu systems.
• Support server, storage, and database migrations.
• Assist with root cause analysis for major incidents and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Monitor system performance and manage configuration tools in UNIX environments.
• Perform incident management, problem management, and change management.
• Ensure solutions adhere to IT standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain shell, Perl, or Python scripts for automation.
• Utilize tools like Ansible and Puppet to improve deployment efficiency.
• Engineer solutions that enhance infrastructure transparency and resiliency.
• Ensure continuous security patching and OS validation.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UNIX systems and storage administration (Hitachi, Infinidat, NetApp) in large, critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of storage area networks (SAN), fiber channel fundamentals, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with server migrations and data migration techniques.
• Scripting expertise in Python, Perl, and experience with Ansible or Puppet for automation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of incident, problem, release, and change management.
• Familiarity with system performance monitoring and log analysis.
