Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with Customer on business events and Projects affecting storage space requirements.
• Manage hardware and systems software (maintenance, upgrades, bug fixing and patches)
• Provide storage space allocations within Customer's available infrastructure resources and according to Customer policy.
• Monitor and control storage performance and resolve exceptions and alerts using Customer’s monitoring tools environment and infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor storage replication between data center facilities.
• Resolve any issues and run Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to storage replication.
• Determine file and volume placement to optimize performance.
• Provide reporting on storage usage and performance.
• Initiate requests for storage resource increases and decreases.
• Solicit Customer input for resource usage requirements in the current year and in the coming year.
• Forecast storage growth for existing systems.
• Maintain space requirements based on Customers’ business requirements.
• Proactively optimize storage use.
• Proactively recommend policy and procedure changes to optimize storage use and develop and deploy methods to effectively manage storage use.
• Propose storage policy and procedures for Customer approval.
• Perform data migration management.
