Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and execute test plans for Google Cloud services (e.g., BigQuery, Composer) and other cloud-based platforms.
• Ensure all components of the cloud environment are rigorously tested for functionality, performance, and security.
• Validate ETL workflows and ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the data pipeline.
• Work with data warehousing technologies to validate data ingestion and transformation processes.
• Design and implement automated tests for data validation and integration, leveraging testing tools and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) where applicable.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data across multiple sources and systems. 
• Work closely with DevOps, data engineers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of testing activities.
• Document test cases, results, and defects and report progress to stakeholders.
• Conduct performance and load testing of cloud services and data processing workflows to ensure scalability and reliability in production.

Required Experience

• 6-8 years of IT experience, with at least 4-5 years focused on testing.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience testing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery and Composer.
• Strong experience with data integration tools (e.g., Talend) and data warehousing data ingestion. 
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data across relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with ETL workflows, data validation, and rule-based validation for large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools, automation frameworks, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud environments, particularly GCP, and familiarity with cloud architecture and services.
