Project Overview:

Projects typically involve evaluating, designing, and deploying security solutions to meet Client needs. Such projects frequently require working with others to determine requirements and select appropriate solutions. From there, typical projects include developing and implementing these solutions. A Security Engineer also recommends strategies to prevent security exposures and prevent intrusions with guidance from the Director of Policy and Security, works with others to manage access control for non-Information Security projects, and analyzes the output of various security monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day tasks include cyber incident response, evaluation, and implementation of requests for firewall changes.
• This individual will be highly focused on the technical aspects of information security, in contrast to a SoC analyst or a policy & governance specialist.

Required skills

• Minimum of 5 years of Info Security experience
• Very strong WIFI experience using Aruba
• Strong Firewall experience
• Strong knowledge of Operating System Administration
• Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems
• Coding skills in C, Java, PERL, Python, or a similar language are strongly preferred.
• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and within a team setting.
• Certifications Highly Preferred
• Certified information systems security professional (CISSP)
• Security certification
• Systems administration
• WIFI experience - Aruba
