Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large-scale software and application development projects, overseeing cross-functional teams, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Collaborate closely with business and technology leaders to define program priorities, align objectives, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Own the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring projects stay on track and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Leverage deep retail industry experience to make informed decisions that align with business goals and customer needs, driving business outcomes through technology solutions.
  • Work hands-on with project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and obstacles, ensuring successful delivery even in complex environments.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and timelines to key stakeholders, maintaining transparency and ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, introducing best practices and efficiencies to drive high-quality outcomes.

 

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Project or Program Management, specifically in managing large and complex software/application development projects in a retail environment.
  • Proven experience within the retail industry, with an understanding of retail business models and technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and technologies, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels, including senior leadership and external vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify solutions to complex problems and manage competing priorities.

 

Desirable Skills
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, Agile, ScrumMaster, etc.)
  • Experience with retail-specific platforms and technologies (e.g., point of sale systems, e-commerce solutions, supply chain management systems)
  • Familiarity with enterprise software applications and cloud solutions.
