Job Description

As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle databases, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) on AWS Cloud. You will play a crucial role in database architecture, performance tuning, security management, and backup strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in production and non-production environments, including Oracle EBS.
  • Monitor database performance, analyze slow queries, and implement tuning strategies to enhance performance.
  • Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Implement and manage database security policies, roles, and permissions to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Manage Oracle databases on AWS Cloud, including setup, configuration, and optimization of cloud services.
  • Diagnose and resolve database issues, collaborating with application teams as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Work closely with development teams to support application deployment and database integration.

 

Required Experience/Skills
  • 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Oracle EBS and cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database (12c, 19c) and Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud services (RDS, EC2, S3, etc.) and cloud database management.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for database programming and scripting.
  • Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with RMAN and other backup/recovery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and auditing procedures.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
