As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle databases, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) on AWS Cloud. You will play a crucial role in database architecture, performance tuning, security management, and backup strategies.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in production and non-production environments, including Oracle EBS.
- Monitor database performance, analyze slow queries, and implement tuning strategies to enhance performance.
- Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Implement and manage database security policies, roles, and permissions to safeguard sensitive data.
- Manage Oracle databases on AWS Cloud, including setup, configuration, and optimization of cloud services.
- Diagnose and resolve database issues, collaborating with application teams as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, procedures, and operational processes.
- Work closely with development teams to support application deployment and database integration.
Required Experience/Skills
- 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Oracle EBS and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database (12c, 19c) and Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Experience with AWS Cloud services (RDS, EC2, S3, etc.) and cloud database management.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for database programming and scripting.
- Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with RMAN and other backup/recovery methodologies.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and auditing procedures.
- Experience with database monitoring tools and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
