Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new MySQL databases
• Migrate existing databases to MySQL
• Optimize MySQL database performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve MySQL database issues
• Implement and maintain database security best practices
• Work with stakeholders to understand and implement business requirements
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop and integrate database solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 5 to 8 years of experience in MySQL database development
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, administration, and performance tuning
• Experience with MySQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Experience with MySQL replication and clustering
• Experience with database security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Experience with cloud-based MySQL databases
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Experience with database development frameworks
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
