Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the effort in mapping data from various source systems into an enterprise platform.
• Ensure data is standardized, consistent, and accurately represented across systems.
• Organize, analyze, and clean large datasets, primarily in spreadsheets, to prepare data for migration to an ERP system.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather data requirements, understand business processes, and ensure data is aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage and ensure the integrity of reference data, master data, and business-critical data elements throughout the migration process.
• Validate and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying any data gaps or issues that may arise during migration.
• Translate business terms and data definitions into technical specifications that ensure data is represented accurately in the new system.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data mapping, harmonization processes, and data definitions to support ongoing system operations and future migrations.
• Work closely with IT, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on data migration tasks, timelines, and deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience working in enterprise data and analytics environments, with a strong focus on data migration, mapping, and harmonization.
• Proven experience with data mapping and working with large, complex datasets.
• Expertise in Reference Data Management (RDM) or Master Data Management (MDM) principles.
• Strong understanding of mapping data to create an enterprise view of data across different systems and platforms.
• Proficient with data organization in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and tools to clean, filter, and prepare data for migration.
• Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
• Ability to consult with business stakeholders to understand requirements and align data solutions with business needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with data migration to ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Customer Master Data and Vendor Master Data management.
• Experience with managing data hierarchies and understanding complex data structures.
• Knowledge of defining data terms and creating business glossaries to ensure clarity in data representation.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance practices.
