Role and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain scalable, high-performance database solutions on AWS RDS.
• Develop and maintain thorough documentation of automated processes and system architectures.
• Lead data solution aspects, establishing data standards, and providing technical expertise to development teams.
• Mentor team members on new technologies and best practices in automation and database management.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated systems for AWS cloud-based products and services.
• Evaluate existing automation processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor and validate the performance and functionality of automated processes, ensuring objectives are met.
• Troubleshoot issues with automations, providing efficient solutions and support.
• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for database-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with database security and auditing features.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in database administration and automation in AWS environments, specifically with RDS for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of database management tools, performance tuning, data replication, and recovery procedures.
• Expertise in database design, data life-cycle management, and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with application database maintenance, scripting, and monitoring.
