Responsibilities:
•Drive innovation and design solutions for consumer-facing Android mobile applications
•Provide technical leadership in the end to end design, development, and testing of solutions
•Work with technical leads, managers and Product stakeholders to define and manage the technical roadmap
•Prepare and present potential technical solutions and advise the business on approach and tradeoffs
•Work with developers, business analysts and subject matter experts to understand the complex technological system in order to produce integrated end-to-end solution options
•Provide high-level effort estimates in the absence of detailed requirements
•Communicate solution approaches to architects, project teams and other stakeholders
•Keep up to date on cutting edge technologies and effectively incorporate that knowledge to our platform roadmap, design, and implementation

Qualifications:
•At least 8 years of experience in developing software applications.
•4 year of proven experience building commercial mobile applications with 2+ years hands-on experience building native Android applications using Android SDK and APIs
•Vast knowledge of current trends in mobile technology
•Extensive experience in consuming SOAP/REST web services.
•Extensive experience with XML Schemas, AJAX, WSDL, WADL
•Extensive experience with processing XML/JSON data.
•Excellent understanding of usability aspects of mobile applications
•Strong understanding of mobile application security
•Ability to translate business requirements into working solutions.
•Results-oriented with an ability to work in a team and individual contributor work environments.
•Experience with Java J2EE - preferred
•Knowledge of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Experience with HTML5 & CSS3
•Experience with mobile JavaScript frameworks like Sencha Touch or jQuery mobile.
•Experience with writing and tuning queries to relational databases like Oracle, DB2, etc.
